Ford Model A - Differential locking tool for mounting differential

When assembling the rear axle, the bearings must have a preload. In order to set this preload correctly, you need to lock the differential and this is my tool for this job.

The use of the tool is very easy. Just insert the tool in one hole of the differential. Since not all holes have the same size you must try until you have found a hole which fits.

Then fix the tool in its position by a wire (wrap around).

With opened differential you can easily see how the tool fits into the case of the differential.
