Construction of a tool wall for carpentry toolsFor woodworking I still lack a tool wall, where the frequently used tools are ready to hand.
It starts with a sketch and the rough dimensions. I want to use the wooden boards optimally with little waste.
This is the wall I want to use for the tools.
The boards are cut and I can start with the assembly.
First I check again, if my measures fit - if necessary I could still change something now.
So far everything fits and I start gluing the first boards.
The lower construction is for storing the big steel angles.
The side boards are still missing here.
The holder for chisels and rasps during a first test.
So far the frame is ready to be oiled.
Here it is already oiled and fixed to the wall with 3 screws.
And this is how it looks in the end. I added various holders for hammers, hearing protection and a few shelves on the sides and it still has free space for more tools.
Finally, here you can see my source of inspiration. It is the tool wall of my father and this is also already 70 years old and still in use.
