Let's finish the work on the rims.

All 5 rims were first painted on both sides.

After that I have wet sanded the outer side, first with 2'000 grit sandpaper and then I have used 2,500 grit. Always use plenty of water from a spray can and regularly clean the surface.

The innermost part I did not polish, it will be covered by the hub caps later.

If you have a look from the side, you can see that between 2000 and 2'500 grit the brilliance is slowly coming back.

In order to reach the corner of the rim easily with the polishing machine, I've cut back the Velcro on the top of the polishing pad. Now there is no harm to get scratches on the surface with this pad.

Everything is polished, now I can mount the tires soon.

An update regarding the completion date of the car - I must shift it to the summer of 2013 which is guaranteed the last postponement … :-)
